  • 300 g granulated sugar
  • 227 g unsalted butter softened
  • 240 ml milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 30 ml cotton candy flavoring use to taste
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking pans.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Slowly add the milk and vanilla extract, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, being careful not to overmix.
  7. Gently fold in the cotton candy flavoring.
  8. Pour the batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
