Ingredients

  • 1 can cherry pie filling A 21-ounce can is ideal for this recipe.
  • 2 tubes crescent roll dough Standard refrigerated crescent roll dough works best.
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar For making a simple glaze; also known as powdered sugar.
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk Adjust the amount to achieve your desired glaze consistency.

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Carefully unroll the crescent roll dough from the tubes and separate it into individual triangles.
  3. Place a small spoonful of cherry pie filling onto the wide end of each crescent roll triangle.
  4. Starting from the wide end, roll up each crescent triangle towards the narrow tip, ensuring the filling is enclosed.
  5. Arrange the rolled cherry pie bites on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown and puffed up.
  7. While the bites are baking, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the confectioners' sugar and 1 tablespoon of milk until smooth. Add more milk, a tiny bit at a time, if you prefer a thinner glaze.
  8. Once baked, remove the cherry pie bites from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes.
  9. Drizzle the prepared glaze generously over the warm cherry pie bites just before serving.

Notes

These bites are best served warm, but can also be enjoyed at room temperature. For an extra treat, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
