Ingredients
  

  • 396 g extra-firm tofu drained and pressed
  • 15 ml soy sauce for flavor
  • 15 ml olive oil for crispiness
  • 30 g cornstarch for coating
  • 5 tsp garlic powder adds flavor
  • 5 tsp smoked paprika for smokiness
  • 1.5 tsp black pepper for seasoning
  • 0.25 tsp salt to taste

Method
 

  1. Drain the tofu and press it for 20 to 30 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  2. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add the soy sauce and olive oil, then toss gently to coat.
  4. Sprinkle in the cornstarch, garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.
  5. Toss again until the tofu is evenly coated and no dry patches remain.
  6. Place the tofu in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  7. Air fry at 400°F for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
  8. Remove once the tofu is golden brown and crisp on the edges.
  9. Serve immediately on its own, over rice, in bowls, or with your favorite dipping sauce.
