Method
- Drain the tofu and press it for 20 to 30 minutes to remove excess moisture.
- Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.
- Add the soy sauce and olive oil, then toss gently to coat.
- Sprinkle in the cornstarch, garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.
- Toss again until the tofu is evenly coated and no dry patches remain.
- Place the tofu in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 400°F for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
- Remove once the tofu is golden brown and crisp on the edges.
- Serve immediately on its own, over rice, in bowls, or with your favorite dipping sauce.
