  • 2 fillets cod fillets About 6 oz each, ensuring a hearty serving.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil Used for coating the fish, helps with crispiness.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder Adds a savory depth of flavor to the seasoning.
  • 1 tsp paprika Contributes to the golden color and a mild, sweet flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp salt Season to taste, essential for enhancing all the other flavors.
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper Adds a touch of warmth and subtle spice to the seasoning.
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper Optional, for a subtle kick of heat. Adjust to your preference.

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  2. Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the fillets and rub to coat evenly.
  4. Sprinkle garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper on both sides.
  5. Place the fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  7. Check internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal. Lemon wedges also make a great accompaniment to enhance the flavor of the cod.
