Ingredients
  

  • 100 g Rolled Oats Substitute with steel-cut oats for a chewier bite.
  • 500 ml Broth or Water Use vegetable or chicken broth for added flavor.
  • 30 g Cream Cheese Swap for dairy-free cream cheese if desired.
  • 5 g Parmesan Cheese Nutritional yeast can be used for a dairy-free version.
  • 5 tsp Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic can also be used.

Method
 

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of rolled oats and 2 cups of broth or water over medium heat.
  2. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently to prevent sticking. Cook for about 5 to 10 minutes, until the oats have absorbed most of the liquid.
  3. Once the oats are creamy, remove from heat and stir in 2 tablespoons of cream cheese and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder.
  4. Evaluate the thickness; if too thick, add a splash of water or broth. Stir well and return to low heat if needed.
  5. Transfer the creamy oatmeal into a serving bowl and enjoy it warm, adding toppings if desired.
