Ingredients
  

  • 360 g fresh cranberries
  • 200 g granulated sugar
  • 240 g all-purpose flour
  • 300 g brown sugar packed
  • 113 g unsalted butter cold, cubed
  • 5 ml vanilla extract
  • 1.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1.25 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine cranberries and granulated sugar. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Cut in the cold cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Press half of the crumb mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  7. Spread the cranberry mixture evenly over the crust layer.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the cranberries.
  9. Bake for 40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
