- Remove crusts from bread and flatten each slice with a rolling pin.
- Mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon into a spreadable paste.
- Spread filling evenly over each slice, then roll tightly and seal edges.
- Whisk eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla in a shallow dish.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Dip each roll-up briefly in the egg mixture to coat.
- Place seam-side down in skillet and cook until golden on all sides.
- Rotate and cook evenly for 2–3 minutes per side.
- Transfer to paper towel to drain excess butter.
- Serve warm with syrup, powdered sugar, or fruit.
Notes
Flatten bread well and avoid overfilling to prevent leaks. Cook on medium heat for best texture.
