Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Stir in the buttermilk and melted butter until a soft dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and roll it into a rectangle about ½ inch thick.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and ground cinnamon, and sprinkle this over the dough.
- Cut the dough into strips and twist them together, placing on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk to make a glaze, then drizzle over the warm twists.

These twists are best served warm. Feel free to add nuts or raisins for extra flavor!
