Ingredients

  • 1 16 oz jar dry roasted peanuts
  • 1 10 oz bag bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 1 11 oz bag white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup caramel bits
  • Optional Toppings: Holiday sprinkles or sea salt
  • Substitutions: Use cashews or mixed nuts almond butter, toffee bits, or butterscotch chips for variety.

Method

  1. Prepare Your Crockpot: Set the crockpot to low heat and add the peanuts, bittersweet chocolate chips, and white chocolate chips. Place a clean kitchen towel under the lid to catch condensation and prevent the chocolate from seizing.
  2. Melt the Chocolate: Cook on low for 30 minutes, then check and stir. Continue cooking in 15-minute increments until the chocolate melts completely and becomes smooth.
  3. Add Peanut Butter & Caramel: Stir in creamy peanut butter and caramel bits until fully incorporated.
  4. Scoop the Candy: Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, portion clusters onto parchment paper. Top with sprinkles or sea salt while still warm.
  5. Cool and Set: Allow candy to cool at room temperature for 1–2 hours or refrigerate for 30–60 minutes until firm.

Notes

Store crockpot candy in airtight containers at room temperature for up to 2 weeks or in the fridge for a month. For festive gifting, package in cellophane bags tied with ribbons. Avoid high heat during melting to prevent chocolate from seizing.
