Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter with granulated and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time to the mixture, mixing well after each addition, then blend in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Divide the dough into two portions, roll into ½ inch thick strips, cut, and twist them together.
  7. Place on the baking sheets, leaving space between each piece, and bake for 9-11 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
