Method
- In a large mixing bowl, add 9 cups of Rice Chex cereal and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt to the melted mixture.
- Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the Rice Chex cereal. Gently fold until the cereal is evenly coated.
- Sprinkle the cake mix over the coated cereal. Continue to gently mix until all pieces are covered.
- Transfer the mixture to a large resealable plastic bag. Add the powdered sugar and shake until all the cereal is well-coated.
- Once coated, pour the mixture back into the bowl and fold in the rainbow sprinkles.
- Spread the Puppy Chow on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to cool. Once set, enjoy your Cake Batter Puppy Chow!
Notes
This snack is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week. Feel free to customize with different sprinkles or add-ins!
