- In a large pot, brown the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook for about 5 minutes, until slightly wilted.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and dried thyme to the pot. Mix well.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
- Stir in the uncooked rice and season with salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
- Adjust seasoning if needed, then remove from heat and let sit for a few minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
