Ingredients

  • 454 g ground beef (85/15 or 80/20)
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp onion powder
  • 4 large flour tortillas (burrito size)
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 100 g shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 80 g chopped dill pickles
  • 120 ml mayonnaise
  • 30 ml ketchup
  • 15 ml yellow mustard
  • 15 ml sweet pickle relish (or chopped pickles)
  • 5 ml white vinegar
  • 2.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 2.5 tsp onion powder
  • 1 pinch paprika (optional)

Equipment

  • Skillet

Method

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula. Season with salt, pepper, and onion powder. Cook until browned with no pink remaining. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix all sauce ingredients until smooth. Chill for 10–15 minutes if possible.
  3. Lay tortillas flat. On each one, layer 1 slice of cheese, some ground beef, shredded lettuce, chopped pickles, and a generous spoonful of Big Mac sauce.
  4. Fold the sides inward, then roll up tightly like a burrito.
  5. Toast seam-side down in a dry skillet over medium heat for 1–2 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
  6. Slice in half and serve warm with extra sauce or your favorite side.
