Method
- Divide 7 cups of Chex cereal into two bowls (3.5 cups each). Line baking sheets with wax paper.
- Melt 1 cup pink candy melts with 1 teaspoon oil in 30-second microwave intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
- Pour the melted pink coating over one bowl of cereal and gently fold to coat evenly.
- Transfer pink-coated cereal into a ziplock bag, add 1/2 cup powdered sugar, seal, and shake for 20-30 seconds until coated. Spread on the baking sheet to set.
- Repeat the process with red candy melts, oil, remaining cereal, and powdered sugar.
- Let both batches set for 30 minutes to prevent sticking.
- Combine both colors in a large bowl, then gently fold in M&Ms and sprinkles.
- Serve immediately or package as gifts!
Notes
Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 5 days, or refrigerate for 2 weeks. Freeze for up to 3 months for longer storage. Add nuts or pretzels for extra crunch if desired.
