Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Spread canned strawberries with syrup evenly in the dish.
- Sprinkle dry yellow cake mix evenly on top without mixing.
- Combine flour, sugar, and salt; add melted butter and vanilla to form coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle crumble topping evenly over cake mix.
- Bake 45–55 minutes until golden and the edges are bubbling.
- Cool 15–20 minutes before serving to allow filling to set.
Notes
Do not stir the layers. Allow proper cooling to achieve the perfect jam-like texture. Store leftovers covered for up to 5 days.
