Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Mix strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla, lemon juice, and salt.
- Fold in strawberry pie filling.
- Spread mixture evenly in baking dish.
- Sprinkle cake mix evenly over the top.
- Pour melted butter mixed with vanilla over cake mix.
- Bake 40–50 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Cool 15–20 minutes before serving.
Notes
Do not stir the layers. Let the cake cool before serving to allow the filling to set properly. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream for best results.
