Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound spicy breakfast sausage
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
  • 4 fresh jalapeños finely chopped
  • Optional: 6 slices cooked bacon chopped
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons milk if needed for binding

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine sausage, Bisquick, cream cheese, cheddar, and jalapeños in a large bowl.
  3. Add bacon if using and mix thoroughly by hand.
  4. If mixture is too dry, add milk 1 tablespoon at a time.
  5. Roll mixture into 1.5-inch balls.
  6. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  8. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, drizzle with hot honey before serving. Make sure cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps.
