Method
- Wash tomatoes and basil thoroughly and pat completely dry.
- Drain mozzarella balls and pat dry with paper towels.
- Thread a mozzarella ball, basil leaf, tomato, and another mozzarella ball onto each toothpick.
- Arrange assembled bites on a serving tray or in shot glasses.
- Drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze and olive oil.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Chill for 10 minutes if desired, then serve immediately.
Notes
For best texture and appearance, assemble no more than 2–3 hours before serving. Add balsamic glaze just before serving to prevent moisture buildup.
