Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb crab meat fresh, canned, or imitation, flaked
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 green onions finely chopped
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
  • Oil for frying

  1. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Gently fold in the crab meat until just combined.
  3. Shape mixture into small balls or patties and refrigerate for 5–10 minutes.
  4. Dip each piece into beaten egg, then coat evenly with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F over medium heat.
  6. Fry crab crunchies in batches for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
