Ingredients
  

  • 32 oz frozen pierogies
  • 1 lb smoked kielbasa sliced
  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 medium yellow onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Sliced green onions or chives optional

Method
 

  1. Spray crockpot with nonstick spray.
  2. Add pierogies, sliced kielbasa, 3 cups broth, and 1 cup cheddar cheese.
  3. Cover and cook on HIGH 3–4 hours or LOW 5–6 hours.
  4. Warm cream cheese with remaining 1 cup broth until smooth.
  5. Stir cream cheese mixture into crockpot.
  6. Top with remaining cheddar cheese.
  7. Cover and cook an additional 30 minutes.
  8. Garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

For extra richness, whisk 1 tablespoon sour cream into the cream cheese mixture before adding to the crockpot.
