- Mix 1 tbsp coarse sugar, 1 tbsp granulated sugar, ½ tsp cinnamon, and a pinch of cayenne to make the rim mixture.
- Run an orange or tangerine slice around your glass rim and dip into the cinnamon-sugar mix.
- Fill the rimmed rocks glass with fresh ice.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine pomegranate juice, orange juice, tequila, orange liqueur, honey, and vanilla extract.
- Add ground cinnamon, ginger, and cayenne pepper to the shaker.
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15 seconds to blend and chill.
- Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
- Top with a splash of ginger beer if desired and garnish with a rosemary sprig and cinnamon stick.
Notes
Start with moderate spice amounts and adjust to taste. Always use fresh ice for serving to prevent over-dilution. For a non-alcoholic version, replace tequila with ginger beer and lime juice, increasing spices slightly.
