Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 2 fresh jalapeños diced with seeds removed
  • 2 green onions finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • Assorted crackers tortilla chips, or vegetables for dipping
  • Optional garnish: extra cilantro or green onions

Method

  1. Rinse cranberries and pat dry. Pulse in a food processor 3–4 times until finely chopped but not pureed.
  2. Transfer to a bowl and mix with diced jalapeños, chopped green onions, cilantro, sugar, and lime juice. Stir and let rest 15 minutes for flavors to meld.
  3. Spread softened cream cheese evenly across a serving dish, creating a smooth base about ½ inch thick.
  4. Spoon cranberry jalapeño mixture over the cream cheese, spreading evenly for full coverage.
  5. Garnish with extra cilantro or green onions if desired and serve immediately with crackers, chips, or veggies.

Notes

Prepare the cranberry mixture ahead of time and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Assemble just before serving for the best texture. For milder heat, remove all jalapeño seeds; for extra spice, leave some in.
