Ingredients
Method
- Wash the potatoes thoroughly under running water.
- Dry the potatoes completely with a kitchen towel or paper towels.
- Cut the potatoes in half lengthwise.
- Rub each potato half evenly with olive oil.
- Sprinkle generously with salt.
- Add crushed garlic and fresh herbs if desired.
- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (390°F).
- Place the potato halves cut-side down in the air fryer basket.
- Cook in a single layer for about 30 minutes.
- Check the potatoes after 15 minutes and flip if needed for even browning.
- Cook until the skins are crispy and the interiors are fork-tender.
- Carefully remove the potatoes from the air fryer.
- Let cool for 2–3 minutes before serving.
- Fluff the interior with a fork and add desired toppings before serving.
Notes
For the crispiest skin, make sure the potatoes are fully dry before cooking and avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. Russet or Idaho potatoes work best for fluffy interiors.
