  • 1 large egg lightly beaten
  • 75 g yellow onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 80 ml ketchup for meatloaf
  • 15 ml Worcestershire sauce
  • 5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 0.5 tsp dried thyme
  • 80 ml ketchup for glaze
  • 15 g brown sugar
  • 5 tsp yellow mustard

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Loaf Pan

Method

  1. Let the ground turkey sit on the counter for about 15 minutes to take the chill off.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, parsley, and thyme. Mix well.
  3. Add the ground turkey, beaten egg, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce to the bowl. Mix gently until combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan or shape free-form on parchment paper.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Place the loaf in the air fryer basket and cook for 20 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard in a small bowl for the glaze.
  8. After 20 minutes, brush the glaze over the meatloaf and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  9. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Letting the meatloaf rest is crucial for juicy slices. Feel free to customize the herbs based on your preference!
