- Poke or don’t poke: Team no-poke keeps juices in. Team 2-3 pokes per sausage prevents splitting. Pick your fighter. I don’t poke.
- Preheat air fryer to 380°F for 3 mins to ensure instant sizzle, not steamed sausages.
- Lay sausages in the basket in a single layer with space between them for even browning.
- Cook for 10-12 mins total, flipping at 6 minutes for deep golden brown with some darker spots.
- Check temperature: Done at 160°F for pork/beef, 165°F for chicken/turkey. Cut one open to ensure no pink, juices run clear.
- Rest for 3 mins to let the juices settle so they don’t run out when you bite in.
Notes
For extra flavor, toss hot sausages in a pan with ½ cup beer and sliced onions for 2 mins after air frying.
