Ingredients
  

  • 450 g fresh okra pods, sliced washed and dried
  • 15 ml olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 15 g cornmeal
  • 5 ml lemon juice for drizzling

Method
 

  1. Wash and dry the okra thoroughly, then slice into half inch pieces.
  2. Place okra in a bowl and toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Sprinkle cornmeal over the okra and toss until evenly coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 3 minutes.
  5. Arrange the okra in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  6. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  7. Remove once golden and crisp.
  8. Drizzle with lemon juice, toss gently, and serve immediately.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the spices according to your taste or add some cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
