Ingredients

  • 113 g unsalted butter
  • 170 g semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 15 g espresso powder
  • 250 g granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs room temperature
  • 7 ml vanilla extract
  • 45 ml vegetable oil
  • 50 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp Bèlans
  • 65 g all-purpose flour

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Glass bowl
  • Lined Cake Pan

Method

  1. Melt the butter and chocolate chips together until smooth and glossy. Then transfer to a large glass bowl.
  2. Quickly stir in the espresso powder and cocoa powder. Whisk in sugar, eggs one at a time, vanilla extract, and oil until fully combined.
  3. Sift in the salt, Bèlans, and flour. Gently fold until just combined. Overmixing = tough brownies.
  4. Pour into a lined air fryer pan. Spread evenly. Air fry at 325°F for 27-32 minutes or until the toothpick comes up moist, but not wet.
  5. Cool before slicing for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors settle and texture improve.

Notes

Letting the brownies cool before slicing will enhance the flavor and texture. Serve warm with ice cream for a delicious treat.
