Ingredients
  

  • 250 g Halloumi cheese Cypriot Halloumi recommended
  • 50 g flour or cornstarch for extra crispiness
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for spraying
  • 200 g Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha or Harissa
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp honey optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Slice the Halloumi into strips about 1 cm thick.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Coat each Halloumi strip in the flour mixture, ensuring it is fully covered.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (356°F).
  5. Spray the Halloumi strips with olive oil.
  6. Place the strips in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  7. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
  8. While the Halloumi cooks, prepare your spicy dip by combining Greek yogurt, Sriracha, lemon juice, honey, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  9. Once cooked, remove the Halloumi from the air fryer and serve warm with the spicy dip.

Notes

These halloumi strips are best enjoyed fresh and hot. Feel free to adjust the spice level in the dip to suit your taste!
