Ingredients
  

  • 187 g self-rising flour
  • 52 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 195 g granulated white sugar
  • 316 ml whole milk approximately 1 1/3 cups

  • 8 x 8 inch square baking pan

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8 x 8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add flour and cocoa powder. Whisk until evenly combined.
  3. Add in sugar and whisk until combined. Pour in milk and whisk until batter is smooth.
  4. Pour batter into prepared cake pan. Bake for about 30 minutes or until cake is done and toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Notes

Make sure to let the cake cool before slicing. This cake pairs wonderfully with whipped cream or fresh berries.
