Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk egg, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing until smooth with small lumps.
- Heat oil in a deep pot to 350–375°F.
- Transfer batter to a squeeze bottle or piping bag.
- Squeeze small swirls or circles into hot oil.
- Fry for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Dust generously with powdered sugar while hot.
- Serve immediately.
