This spooky spider web taco dip combines the classic seven-layer dip flavors with a creepy-crawly Halloween design, making it both delicious and Instagram-worthy for your party table.

- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream, divided (¾ cup for base, ¼ cup for web)
- 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning
- 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
- 2 large ripe avocados
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
- ¼ cup finely chopped red onion
- ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 small jalapeño, minced (optional)
- Salt and black pepper
- 1½ cups chunky salsa, drained
- 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
- 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- ½ cup diced tomatoes
- ¼ cup sliced green onions
- 3–4 black olives (for spider body and legs)
Instructions
- Select a shallow round serving dish (9–10 inches).
- Mix cream cheese, ¾ cup sour cream, and taco seasoning until smooth. Spread evenly as base.
- Spread refried beans over cream cheese layer.
- Make guacamole: mash avocados, mix with lime juice, onion, cilantro, jalapeño, salt, and pepper. Spread over beans.
- Layer salsa, then shredded cheese.
- Pipe sour cream in concentric circles over cheese, drag toothpick from center to edge to form spider web.
- Place whole black olive in center for spider body. Slice olives into strips for spider legs.
- Garnish edges with lettuce, tomatoes, and green onions. Cover loosely and chill at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use a glass pie dish for best presentation. Pipe sour cream thinly for a neat web design. Add toppings just before serving for freshness.
