Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds ground beef (80/20)
- 1 envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup ketchup, plus more for topping
- 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk the eggs until lightly frothy.
- Add ground beef, onion soup mix, ketchup, breadcrumbs, water, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.
- Press the mixture evenly into the prepared loaf pan, shaping into an even loaf.
- Spread additional ketchup evenly over the top as a glaze.
- Bake uncovered for 60 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Remove from oven and let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Avoid overmixing to keep the meatloaf tender. Letting it rest before slicing helps retain juices. Use a meat thermometer for best results.
