Lemon balm drink for weight loss with fresh lemon balm leaves, lemon juice, and honey.

How to Make Lemon Balm Drink for Weight Loss

  • Total Time: 7-8 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

This refreshing and soothing lemon balm drink not only helps in weight loss but also offers calming and digestive benefits. With just a few simple ingredients, this drink can be your go-to natural remedy for boosting metabolism and reducing cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 tablespoons Fresh Lemon Balm Leaves (or 12 teaspoons dried lemon balm)

  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice

  • 1 teaspoon Honey or Stevia (optional, for sweetness)

  • 1 cup Hot Water

  • Small piece of Ginger (optional, grated)

  • A few Mint Leaves (optional, for flavor)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Lemon Balm: Wash the fresh lemon balm leaves thoroughly. If using dried leaves, measure 1-2 teaspoons. For convenience, you can also use a lemon balm tea bag.

  • Boil the Water: Heat the water to a boil. If adding ginger, add it to the water and allow it to steep along with the lemon balm.

  • Steep the Lemon Balm: Pour the boiling water over the lemon balm leaves (fresh or dried). Let it steep for 5 minutes for a rich flavor, or adjust steeping time for a milder taste.

  • Add Lemon Juice and Sweetener: After steeping, strain the leaves (if fresh) and add lemon juice. Sweeten with honey or stevia according to your preference.

  • Garnish and Serve: Optional: Add mint leaves for an added touch of flavor. Stir well and enjoy either hot or chilled.

Notes

  • For a caffeine-free evening drink, consider drinking it before bedtime for its relaxing properties.

  • If fresh lemon balm is not available, dried lemon balm works perfectly as a substitute.

  • The sweetness level can be adjusted by varying the amount of honey or stevia.

  • Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. For an extra twist, freeze the drink into ice cubes for future use.
