Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup lump crab meat
- 1 cup shrimp, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 salmon fillets (6–8 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, and lemon juice until smooth. Add parsley, garlic powder, Old Bay, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
- Fold in crab meat carefully, preserving chunks, then add chopped shrimp. Stir until evenly combined.
- Pat salmon fillets dry. Slice a horizontal pocket in each fillet without cutting through. Season inside and out with salt and pepper.
- Stuff each pocket generously with the crab and shrimp mixture. Secure edges with toothpicks if needed.
- Brush fillets with olive oil and drizzle melted butter on top. Sprinkle with paprika for color.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until salmon flakes easily and internal temperature reaches 130–145°F.
- Let rest for 2–3 minutes, remove toothpicks, and serve hot.
Notes
Use fresh, high-quality seafood for best flavor. Fold crab meat gently to retain texture. For a keto-friendly option, replace breadcrumbs with crushed almonds or pork rinds. Do not overcook—salmon should remain moist and tender.
