- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 green onion, sliced
- Sesame seeds, optional
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- Whisk all marinade ingredients together until smooth.
- Add chicken and toss until fully coated. Cover and marinate at least 30 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together all glaze ingredients and set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook chicken in batches for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
- Remove chicken and pour glaze into the skillet, scraping up browned bits.
- Bring to a simmer and stir in cornstarch slurry until thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet and toss to coat evenly.
- Simmer 1–2 minutes until glossy and heated through.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve over rice.
Notes
Use low-sodium soy sauce to control salt levels. Fresh garlic and ginger are essential for the best flavor. Do not overcrowd the pan when cooking the chicken.
