  • 2 beef steaks (ribeye or sirloin), room temperature
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 1012 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Lemon wedges, optional for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat steaks dry and season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon butter and sear steaks for 3–4 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Remove and rest.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  4. Lower heat to medium and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and parsley until sauce thickens.
  7. Return shrimp to the skillet and coat with sauce.
  8. Serve shrimp and creamy garlic sauce over steaks and garnish with parsley or lemon wedges.

Notes

Avoid high heat when making the sauce to prevent separation. Let steaks rest before serving for maximum juiciness.
