Description
Churro Cruffins Ready combine the crispy cinnamon-sugar magic of churros with flaky croissant-style layers, finished in a muffin shape and filled for pure pastry perfection.

- 1 pack (17.3 oz) store-bought puff pastry
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- Neutral oil for frying
- 1 cup melted chocolate or jam or sweetened cream cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a muffin tin.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness.
- Cut the pastry into 12 equal squares.
- Add 1–2 tablespoons of filling to the center of each square.
- Fold corners inward, sealing tightly.
- Roll each piece into a tight cylinder and shape into a U.
- Place each shaped pastry into the muffin tin.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry cruffins in batches for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Mix cinnamon and sugar, then coat cruffins while hot.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Do not overfill to avoid leaks. Coat in cinnamon sugar while hot so it sticks evenly.
