  • Yield: 32 servings (1 oz each) 1x

Description

This Homemade Baileys Irish Cream recipe saves money, avoids preservatives, and tastes even better than store-bought. With just six simple ingredients, you’ll create a velvety, chocolate-kissed cream liqueur that’s perfect for sipping, gifting, or adding to coffee and desserts.

Ingredients

Scale

Essential Ingredients:

  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1⅔ cups Irish whiskey (Jameson recommended)
  • 3 tbsp chocolate syrup
  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ tsp instant coffee granules

Optional Substitutions:

  • Evaporated milk instead of cream
  • Bourbon or Canadian whiskey instead of Irish
  • Cocoa powder instead of chocolate syrup
  • Flavored instant coffee for variations

Instructions

  1. Prepare coffee base: Dissolve instant coffee in 2 tbsp whiskey until smooth.
  2. Combine bases: Add heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and remaining whiskey to blender.
  3. Add flavors: Mix in chocolate syrup, vanilla, and dissolved coffee.
  4. Blend: Blend on low for 20–30 seconds. Do not over-blend.
  5. Store: Pour into glass bottles with lids. Refrigerate 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Shake well before each use. Store in refrigerator for 2–3 months. Natural separation is normal.
