- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced

- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef with garlic powder and diced onions; drain excess fat.
- In the baking dish, combine uncooked rice, browned beef, French onion soup, and beef broth; stir well.
- Top evenly with sliced butter.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake an additional 30 minutes.
- In the final 5 minutes, sprinkle crispy fried onions and mozzarella on top; bake until golden.

Notes
Use long-grain rice for the best texture. Drain beef well to avoid greasiness. For stronger French onion flavor, add caramelized onions or mushrooms.
