This Dubai Chocolate Bar combines layers of creamy pistachio filling, crunchy kataifi pastry, and smooth chocolate, creating a decadent dessert that is both visually stunning and irresistibly delicious.
Ingredients
or the Chocolate Coating:
300g dark chocolate (high quality)
100g milk chocolate
1 tsp coconut oil (optional, for a glossy finish)
50g white chocolate (optional, for decoration)
For the Pistachio Filling:
150g kataifi pastry (shredded phyllo dough), finely chopped
75g pistachio paste
15g pistachio powder (optional, for extra flavor)
1 tbsp tahini
1 tbsp unsalted butter
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Kataifi
Finely chop the kataifi dough.
In a sauté pan, melt the butter over medium-low heat.
Add the kataifi and sauté until golden and crispy (about 5 minutes), stirring constantly.
Set aside to cool.
Step 2: Make the Pistachio Filling
In a bowl, mix the crispy kataifi, pistachio paste, tahini, and salt.
If using, add pistachio powder for enhanced flavor.
Mix until well combined.
Step 3: Melt the Chocolate
Melt the dark and milk chocolate together using a double boiler or microwave in 10-second intervals.
Stir until smooth. Add coconut oil for a glossy finish (optional).
Melt the white chocolate separately for decoration (optional).
Step 4: Assemble the Chocolate Bars
Pour a thin layer of melted chocolate into silicone molds, covering the bottom and sides.
Refrigerate for 10 minutes to set.
Spoon or pipe the pistachio filling into the molds, leaving a small border.
Pour another layer of melted chocolate on top, smoothing it out.
Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until fully set.
Step 5: Decorate and Serve
Carefully remove the bars from molds.
Drizzle melted white chocolate on top for decoration (optional).
Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
