- 6 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon white pepper
- 20 frozen store-bought wontons
- Scallions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add ginger and garlic and stir for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and water and stir to combine.
- Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, salt, and white pepper.
- Bring broth to a gentle boil.
- Add frozen wontons one at a time and stir gently.
- Reduce heat to a simmer and cook 4–6 minutes until wontons float.
- Simmer an additional 1–2 minutes.
