Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz egg noodles or Asian-style noodles
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 6–8 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp fish sauce (optional)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp vegetable or sesame oil
- 8 oz sirloin or flank steak, cubed
- 10–12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 green onions, chopped
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Chili flakes or sriracha, optional
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup pasta water, drain, and set aside.
- Pat steak dry and season with black pepper. Sear in a hot skillet with oil for 2–3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
- Lower heat to medium. Melt butter and sauté garlic for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and reserved pasta water. Stir to combine.
- Add noodles and toss until evenly coated.
- Return steak and shrimp to the pan and toss gently to warm through.
- Garnish with green onions, Parmesan, and chili flakes if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
Avoid burning the garlic and do not overcook the shrimp. Pasta water is essential for a silky, restaurant-style sauce.
