- 1 pound spicy breakfast sausage
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
- 4 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped
- Optional: 6 slices cooked bacon, chopped
- Optional: 2 tablespoons milk if needed for binding
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine sausage, Bisquick, cream cheese, cheddar, and jalapeños in a large bowl.
- Add bacon if using and mix thoroughly by hand.
- If mixture is too dry, add milk 1 tablespoon at a time.
- Roll mixture into 1.5-inch balls.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, drizzle with hot honey before serving. Make sure cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps.
