Description

Mini Caprese Bites are an elegant, no-cook appetizer made with fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, basil, and balsamic glaze. Ready in just minutes, these Italian-inspired bites are perfect for parties, Valentine’s Day, or effortless entertaining.


Ingredients

  • 1 pint cherry or grape tomatoes
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini or pearls)
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Toothpicks or mini skewers

Instructions

  1. Wash tomatoes and basil thoroughly and pat completely dry.
  2. Drain mozzarella balls and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Thread a mozzarella ball, basil leaf, tomato, and another mozzarella ball onto each toothpick.
  4. Arrange assembled bites on a serving tray or in shot glasses.
  5. Drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze and olive oil.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Chill for 10 minutes if desired, then serve immediately.

Notes

For best texture and appearance, assemble no more than 2–3 hours before serving. Add balsamic glaze just before serving to prevent moisture buildup.
