- 8 oz cream cheese, softened (optional)
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar (optional)
- 1 large egg (optional)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 1 cup fresh raspberries (optional)
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt together in a bowl.
- Mix oil, sugar, and vanilla in a separate bowl until combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Spread brownie batter evenly into prepared pan.
- Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla if using cheesecake layer.
- Spread cheesecake mixture over brownie batter.
- Simmer raspberries with sugar, strain, and swirl sauce on top if using.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until edges are set.
- Cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Cut brownies using a heart-shaped cookie cutter and serve.
Notes
Chilling fully before cutting is essential for clean heart shapes. Wipe the cookie cutter between cuts for sharp edges.
