- 2 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
- 1 large yellow onion, sliced into wedges
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Slice flank steak thinly against the grain.
- In a bowl, combine beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and 1 tablespoon oil; marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add beef in a single layer and sear for 1–2 minutes; stir-fry until lightly browned, then remove and set aside.
- Add remaining oil to the pan and stir-fry onion, garlic, and bell pepper for 3–5 minutes.
- Add ginger and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Return beef to the pan and pour in beef broth and oyster sauce.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
- Drizzle with sesame oil, season with salt and pepper, and toss to combine.
- Garnish with green onions and serve hot.
